The answers to these questions will generate the keywords and phrases required for your Boolean string.īoolean operators are simple once you grasp the rules. However, Boolean search starts with the art of knowing which questions to ask. There’s no incentive for job seekers to change their ways so recruiters must get better at identifying the best talent through more targeted sourcing. Most don’t know how to optimize their profiles for keywords and struggle to articulate their experience in a compelling manner within a limited space. Then, realize they don’t think like recruiters. Now think about all the different ways they can share information about themselves. Think about the wide variety of job seekers. But, I am blaming the lack of uniformity in how they present themselves across all these different platforms or even in their resumes. What do all of these technologies have in common? Or rather, what don’t they have in common? Aside from the obvious, the technology can vary widely, the biggest issue is the candidates. At a minimum, there’s your recruitment ATS and CRM, social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter), job boards, resume databases, and possibly even external search engines (Google and Bing). We’ve practiced the science of Boolean, but let’s pause for a moment think of all the tools you use to source candidates. In the example above, the search will return results that contain at least one of the keywords within the parentheses as well as the phrase ‘marketing manager.’ĭownload this easy cheat sheet to help when writing your Boolean search strings Boolean Is as Much Art as It Is Science (HubSpot OR Eloqua OR Marketo) and “marketing manager” As a rule of thumb, parentheses should be used around OR statements, ensuring the search engine properly resolves the OR statement before moving on to other operators. Parentheses are used to give priority to the keywords contained within over the other elements around it. This search will display results that contain the words ‘human’ and ‘resources’ but not necessarily in that order. In the example above, the search will only return results that contain the exact phrase ‘human resources.’ If you do not use quotation marks around phrases, each word in the phrase will be treated separately as if you used AND between each word. Quotation marks are used around a phrase that needs to be returned in that exact order. In the example above, all results will contain the phrase ‘human resources’ but not the word ‘director.’ NOT is particularly useful when you want to filter out candidates with certain seniority or to exclude closely related terms (i.e. NOT limits your search by excluding defined keywords and/or phrases from your results. In the example above, the OR statement is used to identify candidates who were previously employed by at least one of the listed companies. You may create lists to define possible options for desired candidate attributes such as job title, previous employer, location, or skillset. creating a list of all possibilities where you only need at least one of the keywords to be returned OR allows you to expand your search to include all relevant results for all possible variations with the same meaningĢ. Remember, there can be multiple words that mean the same thing, as there can be dozens of job titles to describe the same exact work. to include all synonyms for a given title, phrase or word OR will expand your search results so all results must contain at least one, if not more, of your defined keywords or phrasesġ. In the example above, the Boolean string will only return results that include both the phrase ‘human resources’ and the keyword ‘recruiting.’ It will not display any results that contain only one of the defined criteria without the other. ANDĪND will narrow your search results to include only relevant results that contain your required keywords. The goal is for you to be a better all-around recruiter, and these are the operators that will get you there. Yes, there are more operators out there, but my goal is not for you to be a Boolean ninja, rockstar, or. It doesn’t have to be time consuming, and effective use of Boolean search can keep costs low, eliminate your need for yet another tool, and reduce your time to fill. We held a webinar with Batman (Mike Cohen) to show you how to do this – you can watch it here. All you need to do is learn, simplify, and practice. In a space where everyone is looking for a competitive advantage to land the best talent, this could be yours. The truth is very few recruiters write their own Boolean strings and even fewer have mastered it. If you use it without realizing it, you can learn a few Boolean operators that will drastically improve your current sourcing efforts. If you have ever Googled something, you have already created Boolean search strings.

Same as install content: The install and uninstall content are the same. Uninstall content settings: Select an option for where Configuration Manager gets the content to uninstall the application: Switch to the Content tab and configure the following settings: Then in the ribbon, on the Deployment Type tab, select Properties. In the details pane, switch to the Deployment Types tab. Expand Application Management and select the Applications node. In the Configuration Manager console, go to the Software Library workspace. If the information is available in the installation files, the uninstall command line is automatically added to the deployment type properties.įor an existing application, use the following steps to configure its uninstall properties: When you create the application, select the option to Automatically identify information about this deployment type from installation files. If the application is installed on the target device, Configuration Manager uninstalls it. Version 2107 and later supports Implicit uninstall.Ī deployment with the Uninstall action doesn't check requirement rules. In version 2103 and earlier, if you remove a user or a device from a collection that has an application deployed to it, Configuration Manager doesn't automatically uninstall the application from the device. If you deploy to a user an application with the Uninstall action, and the application was installed for all users of the computer, the uninstall might fail if the user's account doesn't have permissions to uninstall the application. When you uninstall an application, Configuration Manager doesn't automatically uninstall dependencies. Some application types don't support uninstallation. Otherwise Configuration Manager may reinstall the application. To deploy an application with the Uninstall action, first delete any existing application deployments, simulated deployments, or task sequence deployments that include this application. You can uninstall an application even if it wasn't previously installed by Configuration Manager. Then create a separate deployment with the action to uninstall. Instead of needing to create a separate object to uninstall an application, you can specify uninstall behaviors on the deployment type. Applies to: Configuration Manager (current branch) To test without gamma correction, simply comment out the line 246. Maybe you can experience some differences? If you want to test it out, you also can change this in line 184 and use \IMagick::COLORSPACE_RGB (without the s! / sRGB and RGB)Īlso, if you feel adventures (=abenteuerlich?), you may test with disabled and enabled gamma conversion. If yes, we use grayscale as workspaceColorspace, otherwise \IMagick::COLORSPACE_SRGB. Yes, it first checks if we have a grayscale image. (I use itpc for tagging and cataloging and I don't want these to show up in the web version).Ĭan you elaborate on what the profile check / assign 214/215/216 does? Is this only for checking if the image profile is Grayscale? "Save for web" removes the EXIF data, removes attached image profiles, reduces the image to 8bit if >8bit, and converts it to sRGB. You could create an action that does this for you, except save for web is much easier to explain to clients.įWIW since we're comparing notes: I'm using Lightroom/CaptureOne for basic corrections, further edits / archival files are 16 Bit .tiffs rendered in prophoto RGB/Adobe RGB depending on the source, which I manually convert so srgb (usually since I want to control the rendering intent of the conversion), before using "save for web" with neither "convert to srgb" nor "embed profile" checked, which leaves me with a clean jpg with no profiles or meta data embedded/attached. This sounds perfectly reasonable, except for the ubiquitous "don't use save for web" caveat. Some IMagick installations also don't / cannot. GD, for example, isn't able to read ICC profiles. But you need to use / have the image in sRGB!! This is assumed by all web image render engines. If you embedd an ICC profile or not, is not relevant. Or pass an array with different quality setting with the image to the pageimage / imagesizer. This way, you get a variation with original dimensions but lower quality, your default image quality. If you need it in its original dimensions, call it with $image->width($image->width). Don't deliver your original image in PW, never. (NOT with saving for web, just the regular "save as jpeg" method). Then do all your stuff, and at last step, reduce the colordepth back to 8 bit.įor using images as a master source in PW, I highly suggest(ed) to save images in Photoshop as jpegs in 12 (=100%) quality. If you don't have original images in 16bit, first step after opening it in photoshop is, to increase the colordepth from 8 to 16. Only work in 16 bit depth mode! Everytime!! (No, - no exceptions!)Īt the last step, procede reduce the color depth from 16 bit to 8 bit, but only for variations that you want to share / upload, etc! KEEP your 16 bit ORIGINAL locally! I suggest to read your first link to brasseur, but in regard of Photoshop and how it should be used. there are also only 8bit engines!)Īnd set back the colordepth to 8 or lower, if the original has lower depth:īut it looks like your local workflow isn't correct. Go into 16bit mode (if available in this imagick engine. If there isn't one available, assume default value: Look for a gamma setting shiped with the image: Hey already follow the rules you linked too, with a bit more individuality: I am out of my league with this, technical knowledge wise but I'll try to keep up Would be nice to get a discussion going here. One of the above plus these rather involved technical reccomendations (tldr: convert to linear RGB, resize, convert back) Colorspace handling changes between imagick versions The way the Imagick module detects/ignores profiles The way the srgb profile is embedded in the jpg Need to find time to do more structured testing though. I tried multiple variations, with embedded and excluded srgb profile, "convert to srgb" on and off, but the result appears to be the same darker, muted image. Images with an embedded (srgb) profile that were exported via Photoshop's "save for web" function with "convert to srgb" and "embed profile" ON, somehow result in muted colors and a darker image, (actually it looks very much like when you would assign an srgb profile to an image that was already converted to srgb before, not dramatic, but quite noticeable with e.g. I noticed that In some cases Image Magic resized jpgs appear darker than the original, and after some digging it appears to involve various factors concering both the image preparation (Photoshop's save for web and even general profile handling before that) and the way the Image Magic resizing process is setup. I know probably the person with the most experience on this, (hope you can chime in here Horst) What are your experiences with profile/color consistency when using Image Magick for resizing? The EQ Booster acts as both an amp and an equalizer. For example, your five-band graphic equalizers will contain sliders to control five fixed frequencies, such as 30Hz for low bass, 100 Hz for mid-bass, 1 kHz for midrange, 10 kHz for the upper midrange and 20 kHz for the high-frequency or treble. Unlike the graphic EQ, you aren’t going to be able to make as many fine-tuning adjustments. With this type of equalizer, you can select a more focused boost or a sweeping one. These devices allow you to control the boost levels, widths and center frequency. The parametric EQ goes beyond conventional options. On the left of this EQ, you find the bass (low) side, while the right contains the treble (high) side. You will see audio filters with sliders, enabling you to change the sound by simply shifting the controls up or down. This type of EQ provides a graphic representation, allowing you to adjust the system visually. When it comes to audio equipment, you can find a variety of equalizer types. If you install an equalizer and adjust it correctly, you will no longer wonder if it is beneficial. If you adjust the EQ to cut out all frequencies under 50 Hz, you allow the amp to work efficiently and you end up with cleaner, more pronounced volume while ensuring the speaker drivers only get the tones they are meant to.Īfter all these years in the business, we know this much. Let’s say that you use two 6-1/2” subwoofers to supply bass. When adjusted correctly, you find frequencies that you would have otherwise missed.Īnother benefit to the EQ is that it can protect your expensive audio equipment. The equalizer is a great tool for overpowering any road-noise, vehicle noise, seat absorbency, glass reflections and the shape of the cabin to provide you with the ultimate sound. With the right setup, you can enjoy your music without having to listen to all the road noise and car rattles. What’s best is you can adjust the sound quality to match your tastes. When used properly, it can fine-tune even the best systems on the market. The EQ provides precise control over the tones your audio system puts out. So, you are looking for ways to improve car audio sound quality, will an equalizer help you? Absolutely! You also have to be careful because a few are only meant to work with a certain brand. You can even find an equalizer for your boat, such as the Wet Sounds WS-420BT.Ī few EQs will work with your factory stereo, while others are going to do better with aftermarket options. You can find a variety of equalizers, from a standard under-dash option to the more advanced digital models that get installed in the trunk. It permits advanced tone adjustment that isn’t handled by the standard bass, midrange or treble controls. The equalizer, or EQ, allows you to fine-tune the sound coming from your audio system. But, what are equalizers and how do you use one to boost your system’s tone? Let’s dive in and find out. With an equalizer, you can fine-tune the sound to match your environment. Your car’s sound system is affected by numerous factors, from engine noise to wind and the size of the cabin. Adidas, for its part, offers great deals for the low versions of the Crazy Explosives. You'll have a highly functional lab for software development up fast with some added agility for prototyping infrastructure choices too. Simply use Vagrant and VirtualBox together. No longer do you have to wait to build a physical machine, then wait to download ISO images of the virtualization stuff, operating systems, software packages etc. Why Use Vagrant and Virtualbox?īuilding a software prototyping environment (aka lab) is far simpler than ever before. In summary, this is a time-saving tool for standing up VMs faster, configuring them, adding packages to VMs, or integrating your virtual platforms with tools like Ansible. It allows for some fundamental integration and automation with platforms like VirtualBox, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware, etc. Vagrantis a time-saving open source ( MIT) tool from our friends at HashiCorp. For advanced users, it also has some command line, advanced networking capabilities, and integrates nicely with Vagrant. Your virtual machines will be hosted in this on top of your base OS, sharing its resources. VirtualBoxis an open source ( GPL v2) virtualization platform that works on almost any base OS. In this blog, we give an overview of VirtualBox and Vagrant, how they can combine to form a virtual prototyping environment, and instructions for setting up your first lab. But if you use Vagrant and VirtualBox, you can virtualize and save time. Virtualization can be time-consuming, especially in open source. On, the congregation approved plans to proceed with an 11,000 square foot building with a gymnasium and classrooms. In late 2001, discussions intensified and proposed plans were drafted. An 8,000 square foot building was constructed which was dedicated on with 215 people present.Īs the congregation continued to grow, it became apparent that additional space would be needed to meet the needs of the congregation. A building fund was started and the congregation generously raised over $50,000 toward this project. In 1997, plans were made to start construction on a permanent church building. In the meantime, the congregation began meeting in the Windy Hill Recreational facilities since the Henry County Board of Education had placed a time limit on how long a church could rent facilities from the School District. On Septem, the closing took place on the property, with Harold and Thelma Stamey passing title to the property to Cornerstone Bible Church of God. The Church of God General Conference Church Builders League, consisting of 700 families scattered across the United States, provided over $14,000 as a gift to help with the purchase. Several church families responded in a generous way by providing more than $30,000 in immediate contributions. Over the next few months, the congregation prayed over this matter, and sensing God's leading, we began the lengthy process of seeking county zoning approval, securing soil testing, health department approval, surveying, and financing. We too sensed that God was leading us in this direction. And the leadership of the church was impressed with the beauty and location of the 10 acre site on Nail Drive, only hundreds of feet from the present meeting place. The Stameys sensed that God had had a hand in directing them to hold this property until this very time so that there could be a church in their neighborhood. Richard Binkney, we became aware that Harold and Thelma Stamey had land near the Oakland School that they would consider selling, though they had not put it on the market.Īs we met with the Stameys to discuss a possible purchase it was evident that God was at work in this matter. Sites all over Henry County were explored as we prayed for God's direction. It was decided that a land fund should be started to prepare for the time when we would be able to build our own church facility.Īs the next step, an extensive search for land was undertaken. The church began meeting in the beautiful facilities of Oakland Elementary School, McDonough, GA, on Highway 81.Īt a meeting of the congregation in January 1996, plans and dreams for the future were discussed. Cornerstone Bible Church was started on Octo, with a group of members from the New Friends Bible Church in Morrow, under the direction of Pastor David Riley.
